People fear many things, growing old, being in a car crash, losing money. Sometimes the fear they feel is irrational. Interestingly:

40% of the things we worry about never happen

30% are in the past and can’t be helped

12% involve the affairs of others that are not our business

10% relate to sickness, real or imagined

Thus only 8% of the things we worry about are likely to happen

Fear is just interest paid on trouble before it comes due.

For example: The Fear of Flying. You would have to fly every day for 19,000 years before the probability of being in a plane crash approaches 100%.

It is a mistake to suppose people succeed only through success. They often succeed through failures, and overcoming their fears. And you’re not defeated until the past takes your focus off the future. Don’t be afraid of failure.

You have to be willing to get back up and keep moving forward
