The two types of mindset you need to understand…
Yesterday, I wrote to you about the power mindset has to keep you on the right track.
Get your mindset fixed and you can hit your goals and get the results you want faster and without any resistance.
Don’t work on your mindset and you’ll keep going in circles and never get anywhere.
With this in mind, it’s essential to understand the TWO types of mindset.
Mindset Type #1 – Understand your customers.
The first type of mindset is understanding the mindset of your customers.
If you don’t understand this, you are going to lose.
Please understand your clients. What they think is more important than what you think.
It’s estimated that the average person speaks about nine million words a year, and more than half are: ‘I, me, my, mine.’ It’s about us. Not our fellow human who may need our help.
Make a commitment to start really understanding what your customers’ needs, wants, desire and motivations are.
As the saying goes:
“The business that understands their customer best is the business that will win”.

Mindset Type #2 – Understand yourself
Perhaps even more important in business than the first type of mindset is understanding yourself.
Having trained hundreds of people, what I see, time and time and time again is that the biggest chokehold on every single business owner is the business owner’s mindset.
Their own limitations hold them back.
Their biggest challenge is their own limits of what they believe they can or can’t do, or what they will achieve over the next 3 – 6 months.
To really get to grips with your own mindset, it’s worth completing a Mindset Audit. Only once you know where you are will you start being able to help yourself.
So, consider this right now – what’s your current handicap? (And no, not your golf one!)
- A habit you battle?
- Is it a fear that dogs your tracks?
- Is it a difficult relationship?
- Is it a financial shortfall?
- Is it a physical ailment?
- Why doesn’t it just go away?
It’s important to identify the limiting beliefs that hold you back.
Make a side note to write down any limiting beliefs that you may be encountering along the way.
Remember like your body you need to feed it good nutrition, to play any game at the higher level.
Once you understand your limitations and where you need help… ask for it!
When you ask for help you start to depend on others to help and guide you. Be more dependent on your mentor/guide and less dependent on yourself. It’s actually a plus, not a minus.
